I started this year with two funerals – one in person and one on Zoom – and sending a condolence card to another friend far away who lost her dear husband.
King Solomon said: “It is better to go to a funeral than a feast. For death is the destiny of every person, and the living should take this to heart.” (Ecclesiastes 7:2 NIV)
On the bright, eternal side each of these wonderful people lived life well for Jesus Christ and for eternal values. Only God, the Bible, and people will last forever, and these loved ones demonstrated these realities. Now they are with Jesus, but of course missed by those of us still here on earth.
Heaven will be a reunion and I am looking forward to it!
