Not sure of the source of this poem, but it is a good one:

When I was a child, I laughed and wept,

Time crept.

When I was a youth, I dreamed and talked,

Time walked.

When I became a full-grown man,

Time ran.

And later, as I older grew,

Time flew.

Soon I shall find while traveling on,

Time gone.

And this little poem hung in a frame on the wall of my childhood home:

“Only one life,

Will soon be past,

Only what’s done for Christ

Will last.
