I have posted a bulletin board over my computer desk with some of my favorite quotations, both new and long-standing. If you came into my den, on the wall you would see:

If you want to make it easier to be happy, make it harder to be offended.

If you don’t believe in miracles, perhaps you’ve forgotten that you are one.

Self-discipline pushes you so far, then runs out.

Motivation pulls you on and on.

The most beneficial personal quality: conscientiousness.

The most attractive personal quality: gratefulness.

Make sure what you do to feel better does not make you feel worse.*

Nothing is more exhausting than the task that is never started.*

Something that can be done at any time is often done at no time.*

One of the worst uses of time is to do something that need not be done at all.*

What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while.*

If you can’t retrieve it, you won’t use it.*

*from Gretchen Rubin

God is always up to something.*

*from Jesus
