One spring, I had the privilege of visiting Portugal. Lovely memories, begging to be made into poems! Portugal Cliffs The deep aqua sea Surges to the rocky shore, Breaks in frothy white On jagged black rock and smooth sand. A cloudless canopy Hangs overhead. The cliffs, pock-marked by erosion, Seem to be holding up the sky. ©2018 Linda Neff Together in Portugal I slipped out to the patio, Set out two chairs, One for me, one for Jesus, Drank deeply of the silence and the beauty: Moon mostly full, deep blue sky, A sprinkling of stars, Slight breeze ruffling the palm trees, Tall pines, stoic and still. He and I just enjoyed His creation together And saw that it was good. ©2018 Linda Neff These are from my book: Perspective: Choosing to See Beauty and Truth. Available on Amazon. Note at the back of each book is a link to the audio version, read by me. Listen while you work, or give to someone who cannot read!
