It’s the difference between sitting at the bottom of a tall building, or sitting at the top. It’s the difference between looking out of a smudged, dirty window or looking out of a clear, clean one. It’s the difference between trying to see before corrective eye surgery or seeing afterwards.
Perspective is seeing with our minds. Our mental viewpoint. From that we make decisions, reactions, and even emotions.
Jesus called this our “eyes.” He said: “If your eye is sound, then your whole body will be full of light.” (Matthew 6:22)
Wow! Perhaps this means that when we look at life from His viewpoint, wisdom, promises, then we will have – physically, and emotionally - more joy and peace.
Often I find this to be a “two steps forward, one step back” process. Recently, I was worrying about an issue, with the accompanying knot in my stomach. It seemed to take repeated prayers before His peace untied that knot.
