My Best Christmas List
A holy center,
From which to form
Each word,
From which to flow
Each deed.
A focused heart,
From which to feel
For others,
Kindness from His heart:
My part, to meet some need.
A godly mind,
To view this world
With eyes that see forever,
So the daily details
Do not loom too large,
Or blow in scattered bits,
But lie connected:
Crafted puzzle pieces of the final picture.
Lord, these I need so desperately:
A holy center,
A focused heart,
A godly mind.
Could these be on my Christmas list
Each year?
Only You can give them,
And I will hold them dear.
