To give you time to order or borrow a few books for summer reading, here are some suggestions:
“Let’s Pretend We’re Normal” (her journey of grief and being a single parent) by Tricia Lott Williford (or anything else she writes – always with wise insight, great storytelling, and humor)
“Everyone Communicates, Few Connect” by John C. Maxwell
“A Year of Living Prayerfully” by Jared Brock (He travelled the world and revived his prayer life!)
“Diala’s Kitchen” by Diala Canelo (She’s a flight attendant who highlights local places and food from her travels.)
“The Mitford Chronicles” by Jan Karon (Such wonderful, interesting characters, humor, and spiritual insight, all in one!)
“Sensible Shoes” and the other three books in this series by Sharon Garlough Brown ( This follows the journeys of women who discover spiritual practices that move them towards God and others.)
“Metabolical” by Dr. Robert Lustig (another insightful book about health)
